Examples of Patriotic Democrats
Patriotic democrats are individuals who love their country and support democracy. They work hard to make their country a better place for everyone. Some Patriotic Democrats are:
- Moshood Kashimawo Abiola: He was a Nigerian businessman, politician, and a strong supporter of democracy. He won the presidential election in 1993, which was later annulled.
- Kudirat Abiola: She was the wife of Moshood Abiola and an activist. She fought for democracy and justice in Nigeria.
- Nelson Mandela: Although not Nigerian, Mandela is a great example of a patriotic democrat who fought against apartheid in South Africa.
- Nnamdi Azikiwe: He was Nigeria’s first President and worked hard to establish democracy in the country.
- Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti: She was a Nigerian educator and political campaigner who fought for women’s rights and democracy.
