What is Safety at home?

Safety at home means being careful to prevent accidents and keep ourselves and our family safe. 

Safety precautions at home

  1. Kitchen Safety:
  • Always ask a grown-up for help when using sharp objects like knives or scissors.
  • Never touch hot stoves, pots, or pans. They can burn you!
  • Don’t play or run in the kitchen to avoid accidents.

2. Bathroom Safety: 

  • Be careful when getting in and out of the bathtub or shower to prevent slipping.
  • Don’t touch electrical appliances like hairdryers when you’re wet.
  • Always use the toilet properly and flush it after using it.

3. Balcony Safety:

  • Stay away from the edge of the balcony to avoid falling.
  • Don’t lean over the railing or climb on it; it’s not safe.

Evaluation:

  1. What does safety at home mean?
  2. Name one place in the home where safety is important.
  3. Can you give an example of a safety precaution in the kitchen?
