EFCC AND ICPC
- EFCC stands for Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. It is a government agency that fights economic and financial crimes like fraud and money laundering.
- ICPC stands for Independent Corrupt Practices Commission. It is a government agency that fights corruption in government and public places.
Corruption:
Corruption means dishonesty or illegal behavior, especially by powerful people like government officials. Examples include taking bribes or stealing public money.
Duties of EFCC AND ICPC:
- EFCC: Investigates financial crimes, arrests and prosecutes offenders, and educates the public on financial crimes.
- ICPC: Investigates corrupt practices, arrests and prosecutes corrupt individuals, and educates the public on the effects of corruption.
How they dress:
- EFCC officers usually wear red jackets with “EFCC” written on them.
- ICPC officers often wear uniforms with “ICPC” written on them, sometimes in green or blue.
Lesson Evaluation:
