NDLEA
The NDLEA stands for National Drug Law Enforcement Agency. It is responsible for fighting against the use and distribution of illegal drugs in Nigeria.
Duties:
- Control and Prevent Drug Trafficking: They work to stop the transportation of illegal drugs into and out of Nigeria.
- Arrest and Prosecute Offenders: The agency arrests people involved in the illegal drug trade and takes them to court.
- Drug Education: They educate the public about the dangers of drug abuse.
- Rehabilitation: The agency helps people who are addicted to drugs to recover.
Examples of Hard Drugs and Their Effects:
- Cocaine: Can cause heart problems and mental disorders.
- Heroin: Can lead to severe addiction and overdose deaths.
