Types of Keyboards

There are various types of computer keyboards, including; QWERTY, DVORAK, ergonomic, gaming, and virtual keyboards.

Identifying Keys: Keys on a keyboard are grouped into different categories, such as Alphanumeric keys, function keys, numeric keypad, system keys, and navigation/Arrow keys and special keys. Each key has a specific function.

Key Arrangements: Keyboards may have different arrangements depending on their size and numbers of keys, like the QWERTY layout we commonly use,  AZERTY, DVORAK and QWERT.

Evaluation : Answer the following questions:

  1. Name two types of computer keyboards.
  2. Mention a group of keys found on a keyboard.
  3. Explain why it’s important to know the arrangement of keys on a keyboard.
