- Holy book: The Bible.
- Major figure: Jesus Christ.
- Worship place: Church.
- Islam:
- Followers are called Muslims.
- Holy book: The Quran.
- Major figure: Prophet Muhammad.
- Worship place: Mosque.
- Traditional Religion:
- Followed by various ethnic groups in Nigeria.
- Beliefs are passed down through generations.
- Worship includes rituals and ceremonies.
- Worship places vary by culture.
Other notable major religions in the world include;
- Hinduism:
- Followers are called Hindus.
- Holy books: Vedas, Upanishads, and others.
- Major figures: Various gods and goddesses.
- Worship place: Temple.
- Buddhism:
- Followers are called Buddhists.
- Holy books: Tripitaka (Pali Canon) and others.
