Classroom Note:
Freezing
Freezing is the process by which a liquid turns into a solid when its temperature is lowered below its freezing point. For water, this means changing into ice at 0 degrees Celsius (it’s freezing point). This means that water molecules slow down and arrange themselves into fixed positions, forming a solid.
Water as Ice
When water freezes, it expands and becomes ice. This ice is simply water in its solid state, commonly used to cool drinks, preserve food, and even for fun activities like ice skating!
Lesson Evaluation:
To evaluate the learning, the teacher asks pupils to:

- Describe how ice feels and looks.
