Meaning of Mechanical Energy
Mechanical energy is the energy that is possessed by an object due to its motion or its position. This means that any moving object or any object that can be moved has mechanical energy.
Simple machines like a windmill or a bicycle moving downhill are examples of mechanical energy. Sources include wind, moving water, and engines.
Meaning of Electrical Energy
Electrical energy is the power created by the flow of electrons through a conductor, such as wires. It’s used to operate everything from lights and appliances to computers and televisions
Examples include light bulbs lighting up when switched on, and electric ovens heating food. Sources include batteries, generators, and power stations.
Lesson Evaluation
To evaluate the learning, the teacher asks pupils to:
