Data Processing – Computer As An Information Processing Machine

A computer is a machine that helps us process data into useful information. It does this using the IPO model which stands for Input, Process, and Output.

Processing

Processing is the stage where the computer works on the data to turn it into information. These include:

  1. Central Processing Unit
  2. Arithmetic Logic Unit
  3. Control Unit
  4. Memory Unit

IPO helps us understand how computers work and how we get results from them.
