Types Of Leadership
Leadership is the ability to guide, direct, or influence people. There are different types of leadership styles, such as;
- Autocratic Leadership: This is a leadership style where one person has complete control and makes all the decisions without consulting others. An autocratic leader expects everyone to follow their rules strictly. This type of leadership can be effective in situations where quick decisions are necessary, but it can also lead to resentment if used excessively.
- Laissez-faire Leadership: In this style, the leader takes a hands-off approach, allowing team members to make decisions and carry out tasks on their own. This means that the leader provides little guidance or direction. Laissez-faire leadership can foster creativity and independence, but it may lead to confusion and lack of direction if the team is not self-motivated.
- Democratic Leadership: Democratic leadership is characterized by the leader involving team members in the decision-making process. This style encourages participation, collaboration, and communication. While it takes more time to make decisions, it often results in better outcomes because everyone feels valued and heard.
