Field Events

Field events are athletic events that involve jumping, throwing, or vaulting activities. These events test an athlete’s strength, skill, and endurance in specific physical activities.

Types of field events:

  1. High Jump: An event where athletes try to jump over a high bar.
  2. Long Jump: An event where athletes jump as far as possible from a take-off point.
  3. Triple Jump: An event where athletes perform a hop, step, and jump sequence to achieve distance.
  4. Pole Vault: An event where athletes use a pole to vault over a high bar.
  5. Shot Put: An event where athletes throw a heavy spherical object (shot) as far as possible.
  6. Discus Throw: An event where athletes throw a heavy disc-shaped object (discus) as far as possible.
  7. Javelin Throw: An event where athletes throw a spear-like object (javelin) as far as possible.
