Creating New Document

Creating a new document is simple and helps you start your work. To create a new document, follow these steps below:

  1. Open MS Word: Click on the MS Word icon on your computer.
  2. Click on the “File” tab: This is found at the top left corner of the screen.
  3. Select “New”: A list of templates will appear. You can select a blank document or choose a template.
  4. Start with a blank document: Most times, you will begin with a blank document to create your work from scratch.
  5. Name and Save the document: Always name your document properly and save it in a folder where you can easily find it later.
